Caring for your Lange & Berkeley accessory is easy due to our strong efforts in only using the highest quality leathers. If you take just a little care of your leather, it can last you a lifetime.
There’s no need for frequent cleaning, and scratches or marks from daily wear and tear can typically be polished out with relative ease. Unlike faux-leathers, our italian leather only gets better as it ages, developing a natural patina over time.
You won’t need any special products to keep your Lange & Berkeley leather looking its best. Every now and then simply wipe the leather with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth. For extra care you may use a leather cream for conditioning. Avoid using any chemical products or cleaners as these may cause more harm than good.
If you choose not to use your leather accessory for a prolonged period of time, it’s best to store it in the included breathable organic cotton dust bag. Not only will this protect your bag from dust, but it’ll also prevent its eventual discolouration from direct sunlight.
Suede leather: It’s important to note that caring for suede is very different from caring for more classic leather. One general rule: protect your suede from water. Water not only stains, but may also alter the grade pattern.
In order to remove smaller stains and dust we recommend using a very soft (and clean) toothbrush, just carefully brush against the grain in order to readjust the suede fibres, restore texture and to remove any particles.
